1. Working Hypothesis and Interpretation.

What are my persuasions about the world I am going to show in my film, the main "statement" that I want to emerge out of the film's dialectics?
God is broadening what we accept as true in terms of possibilities.
In life I believe that God is awakening us to a new reality that exists in Him.
My film will show this in action by exploring people's personal experiences where Christ has done something phenomenal in the lives of His people.
The main conflict is between the established reality and events that break that wall into the unfamiliar.
Ultimately I want the audience to feel enlightened and comforted and to understand that there is a living God who cares about you as an individual, and He will do what it takes to prove Himself.

2. Topic and Exposition.

God, a spirit that sees and understands differently than we. His nature is kind and loving and desires for all people to turn to Him for all of their needs. He is also a mighty King, just in all of judgments with a desire to have a relationship with each of us. He is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
The God of the Bible has done many wonders, given many signs to show to His own people and to those living without Him that He is. God spoke through prophets, visions and dreams, angels and manifestations of His presence that defied reality. Many have already heard about Moses and the burning bush or Elijah calling on God, but how are their experiences relevant to today? They were all done by the same God. When He manifested Himself in the flesh, performing miracles and sharing revelations, Jesus wants us to know that His work does not stop in the last page of the Bible. He continues, in our daily lives, and there is more to Him than what is defined already as perceivable or "typical" of God. God wants to break our definition of reality so that we not only know that everything is possible with God, but we believe it.

3. Action Sequences

This sequences' action will be a interview intertwined with reenactments.
The factual information it contributes to the film will be the first person accounts of phenomenonologies in God and the personal experience one has had that challenges what is typically defined in our earthly reality.
The conflicts it evidences will be
The metaphor I'd use to convey its subtextual meaning is
The events in the squence are sturtred around/by
I expect the sequence to contribute to the film as a whole by
Specifically it contributes to the film's hypothosis taht
I expect to get from it the following special

Round One Discoveries

7:41 PM Posted by aminahdeVere No comments
Not so much a discovery of stories I've found, but a critique on my delivery. In attempt to make sure people understand the question I'm asking, I've been super super chatty. At the end of the conversation I know that they understood my question, but I'm gone before they can share a story related to my project. Silence is good... people need time to digest the question and think about their response.

Direct Approach: Round One

Story #1

One Week

Mr. Jenkins and the Holy Spirit have been growing in their relationship, communicating and sharing their lives with one another. One day, the Holy Spirit instructs Mr. Jenkins without giving any reason. The Holy Spirit tells Mr. Jenkins to go and visit his father. Mr. Jenkins and his father have been estranged for quite some time. Though Mr. Jenkins loves his father, there relationship was on its last thread. Battling with whether or not to make that visit, Mr. Jenkins called his sister to travel with him. When they arrived, their father told them that he had only one week to live.

Story #2

Title

At the time, Mr. Nelson survived on his gas card. He had enough of the card to fill up as much as he wanted and at this moment, he needed to because his truck was on E. Parked at the station, Mr. Nelson pulls out his wallet and what he thinks is his gas card, only to realize it was just his id and his card is now missing. Searching front to rear in his truck this card cannot be found. He desperately looks again, checks every compartment, under every seat still no card. In his hopelessness, Mr. Nelson prays and the Holy Spirit answers - He reveals to Mr. Nelson a secret compartment in his car and the card is there.

-separate: experienced the miracles from tithing.

Story #3

Title

Young boy, Sledge, was out in middle of nowhere Mississippi visiting his great aunt. Him and his cousin went out, far back, to play by the creek. While playing they saw a girl their age dressed in clothes to delicate for mud, but Young boy Sledge called out to her, "Hey!" She did not respond, probably because she was bourgeoisie and did not care for silly boys and their silly games in the mud, so he thought. Sledge went on and picked up a few sticks, looked back and the girl was gone. Thinking nothing of it, when the boys finished up their games went back inside and shared the occurrence with their great aunt. Her response, it was impossible to see anyone where they were, especially a young girl alone because the nearest neighbor is miles and miles away.

Story #4

Title

In the grocery store, Ms. Nelson is instructed by the Holy Spirit to go out and buy some milk. An odd request but though she was willing at first, as she went over to the milk aisle, and arguing, she said to the Holy Spirit, I do not need any milk. When she finally grabbed the milk and went over to check out, the Holy Spirit told her to take it to her friend, who at the time, was in need of milk.

Questionnaire: what to ask and when

7:40 PM Posted by aminahdeVere No comments

Ask them for their testimony.
Ask them how they came to know Jesus.
Who is God?
Has something ever happened to you that your mind could not understand how or why, but you knew it was God moving on your behalf?
Has obeying God every led you to a miraculous outcome?
Have you ever experienced a miraculous event that was left unexplained?

Week two - day one

4:54 PM Posted by aminahdeVere No comments
Telling the truth may be hard to do sometimes - especially if we are covering up to help out another person close to us. There are opportunities when we have to choose if telling the truth is worth hurting another person even though this "helpful lie" is damaging to our own reputation.

A series of interviews where people tell the truth about hidden lies that have affected their lives in a dramatic way. This could range from how a person recieved a nickname or how they sacraficed a position so someone else can take the lead.

As the interviewees share their accounts, I will create reenactments with sculptors, painted sets and 3D figures.

Present reenactments: puppet show - staged set with paper cutouts or live vibrant reactions

Topics for discussion: confessionals/ redemption stories for  justification

If anything survives, it should be the truth, right? What good is the truth if it's buried in the grave?
